The very wide seating stress range covers both light and heavily constructed flanges, and makes the gasket suitable for fluctuating temperature and pressure conditions. Depending on the layer material, the gasket handles temperatures up to 1000 °C and media pressures up to 250 bar. The assembled layer thickness is only 0.5 mm — that thin layer reduces leak rates, reject rates and environmental emissions. Recommended flange surface finish is 125–250 RMS; no special flange finish is required when replacing an existing spiral wound gasket. Kaxite Sealing is a China-based G-ST rubber-steel profile gasket manufacturer producing gaskets with a steel ring vulcanised directly into the rubber body for self-centering sealing to EN 1514-1 (PN6–40) and ASME B16.20. The vulcanised steel ring eliminates the need for wedges or additional seals and holds the gasket in place during installation on difficult joints — oblique bends in pipelines on uneven terrain, or flanges where straight-line construction is impractical. Because the profile absorbs temperature and pressure variation and distributes torque force, the gasket seals properly on enamelled flanges and flanges with rough surfaces, and it does not require the high torque demanded by conventional flange gaskets. Standard compounds: EPDM and NBR, both 70° Shore A. NBR is certified to DIN-DVGW per EN 682 class GB for gas service. EPDM is certified to KTW D1/D2, 1.3.13 BFA for potable water and W270.
