What is INCOLOY 800 Spiral Wound Gasket?

Incoloy 800 spiral wound gasket is made of Incoloy 800 V-shape tape and soft PTFE filler or graphite filler, can be with inner and outer ring. This gasket has good strength and high resistance to oxidizing, reducing and aqueous environments. Incoloy 800 spiral wound gasket is with moderate strength and good resistance to oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures, It is particularly useful for high-temperature equipment in the petrochemical industry because the alloy doesn't form the embrittling sigma phase after long time exposure at 1200°F (649°C).

INCOLOY alloy 800 belongs to the category of super austenitic stainless steels. These alloys have nickel-chromium-iron as the base metals, with additives such as molybdenum, copper, nitrogen and silicon.
