Super clean ultra high quality oxygen free silver plated OFHC copper gasket is used for ultra vacuum flanges. This ofhc copper gaskets are rumbled to remove all the burrs, etched to remove surface skin prior to silver plating, UHV cleaned and individually packed. Silver plated OFHC copper gasket is recommended for use in HV and UHV systems where the vacuum environment could oxidise a plain copper gasket. Silver-plated copper gaskets are available for systems that require frequent high-temperature bakeout. This prevents oxides from forming during the bakeout, which could contaminate the system.
