What is Style CGI Spiral Wound Gasket?

The style CGI spiral wound gasket is the new standard spiral wound gasket per ASME B16.20 and is required unless otherwise specified by the user. Compared to CG spiral wound gasket with an outer ring, the style CGI spiral wound gasket is with more an internal ring for an additional compression limiting stop, which prevents inward buckling ring. The inner rings are typically made from the same material as the windings, but can be produced in other alloys depending on service.
